Southridge Elementary Student Wins Youth Art Month Flag Design Contest

Daisy Maynard, a 4th grader at Southridge Elementary, is the Elementary Division winner of the Wyoming Art Education Association’s first annual Youth Art Month flag design contest. Southridge art teacher, Chris Dvarishkis, submitted Daisy’s design along with other Southridge student designs for the contest. There were 135 total entries which were juried by a panel of three judges from the Nicolaysen Art Museum.

Youth Art Month is celebrated nationally during the month of March to help showcase how important the arts are in Wyoming. Daisy and her classroom will be awarded with art supplies from contest sponsor, Sargent Art.

NCSD and the Wyoming Art Education Association would like to congratulate Daisy and all student participants on their great work!
