Discover how our kids are being empowered to create their future!
In a ceremony at Park Elementary on March 13 the Natrona County School District signed a collaboration agreement with the Education Office of the Embassy of Spain. The agreement signifies a partnership between NCSD and Spain that will bring qualified Spanish teachers to Casper to teach in Park Elementary’s Dual Language Immersion (DLI) program. Currently at the kindergarten level, Park’s DLI program will need to hire additional teachers as students progress through the grade levels. This agreement will help to facilitate that process.
Spain Embassy representative Sonia Cabrerizo was on hand to present the agreement. “These little ones, they don’t know what the future looks like,” Cabrerizo said, gesturing to the Park kindergarteners seated at the ceremony. “But we have the responsibility and leadership to bring that to them. So piece by piece we are bringing the language and the culture and the resources to them.”
