Kelly Walsh Soph Wins Statewide Honor

Kelly Walsh High School sophomore Danny Villalobos was recently honored as the Boys & Girls Clubs’ Youth of the Year winner for the state of Wyoming. Participants are recognized for their service, academic success, strong moral character, life goals, and their poise and speaking ability. Danny submitted several written essays, gave an oral speech, and participated in live interviews in Cheyenne at the state competition.

As the state winner, Danny won $5,000 toward college expenses and a full scholarship to the University of Wyoming. Danny had also previously won a $1,250 scholarship as the local winner.
