The mission of the Compact Steering Committee is to ensure a culture of excellence through systemic continuous improvement and the collaborative governance model aligned with Baldrige principles through the Compact.

Associate Superintendent of Human Resources, Dr. Crystal Mueller, welcomed the committee members and reviewed the purpose of the Compact Steering Committee. Upon approval of the minutes the committee members broke into small groups to discuss goal strategies and review data.

Dr. Mueller discussed the progress of small group work by the Compact Steering committee and thanked the committee for their dedication stating, “We are becoming more knowledgeable about the areas this group wants to concentrate on. Continually evaluating data and information in order to get the outcome and goals desired. It’s a great process and we are working effectively.” The committee will continue to review all the remaining goal strategies at upcoming meetings and evaluate them for outcome effectiveness.

Prior to closing the meeting, a proposed Compact change was suggested by NCASE representatives: to allow for four NCASE representatives on Compact Issues Committee instead of the current three spots. This issue will be acted upon at the next Compact Steering committee meeting.

The next Compact Steering Committee meeting will be on March 12th, 2015 in the Fairdale Room at Central Services from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
