Celebrating Our Differences

NCSD Parent Resource Center and NCSD Diversity Partnerships sponsored a poster contest for NCSD students to celebrate Disability Awareness Month and launch Diversity Partnerships’ “Respect” campaign. Staff was asked to teach a disability awareness lesson and talk about Diversity Partnership’s “Respect Yourself, Respect Others” campaign. Students were asked to work together to create a visual representation of disability awareness and respect.
Classrooms/groups from which the posters were created were recognized. Ten creations were chosen to be printed as posters and will be distributed to schools and local agencies.
The first place winners are featured here.
