CIC to Concentrate on Salaries and Benefits

Agenda for CIC Annual Meeting

Compact Issues Committee meets Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, March 24, 25, 26, 2014 to discuss Salaries and Benefits for recommendation to the Superintendent for the conceptual budget.

Confirmed facilitators will be Jermitt Krage and Randy Zila.

Consensus was to reserve Monday and Tuesday for Compensation and use Wednesday to work on Compact Language, Work Agreement Changes and any additional work on Salary and Benefits (if needed).

Interest Based Process training refresher to be included in check-in.

Tracking Form Issues

Two issues were added to the form to reflect the Problem Solvers adhoc committees that were created at the February Leader Group meeting – 1) Collaboration Model 2) Comp Time Model.

Review Routing Form

The committee reviewed and made updates to reflect changes in processes and to create clarity.

Report: Quality Processes for Teacher Absences – When a regular teacher is not available, how does quality student learning continue?

Crystal Mueller reported on the work an HR committee (with the same name) conducted and its response.

Response: The district provides substitutes, utilizes the Discover program, and uses in-building coverage to provide quality student learning when a regular teacher is not available.

Superintendent is reviewing the quality of Sub Services as part of EIO (Employee Input Opportunity) and the Discover Program.

Compact Leader Group meets again on April 21, 2014.
