Natrona Schools – Our Kids, Our Community

Discover how our kids are being empowered to create their future!

August or September Start?

The Natrona County School District is in the process of design and development of a new series of calendars for the coming years. Regular review and adoption of the calendar is part of NCSD’s commitment to continuous improvement. To help craft a calendar that takes into consideration the thoughts and opinions of interested stakeholders, the District has asked a collaborative committee that includes parents, teachers, administrators, and support staff to study and design options for calendars.

The group has reviewed information and data collected from a survey given to parents, students, NCSD staff and community members in October. In January, this group will report to the Board of Trustees its findings and a recommended design for future calendars, beginning in the 2014-15 school year. Trustees have the final decision on the design of the calendar.

To help finalize that report, additional input on preference for a early start vs. a later start is needed. A simple two question survey can be found at or you can click on the image above. The survey will be open Dec. 20, 2013 – Jan. 5, 2014. It has also been emailed to those households that have provided email addresses in their Infinite Campus profile. It is open to parents/guardians, students, NCSD staff, and community members.
