The Natrona County School District is in the process of design and development of a new series of calendars for the coming years. Regular review and adoption of the calendar is part of NCSD’s commitment to continuous improvement. To help craft a calendar that takes into consideration the thoughts and opinions of interested stakeholders, the District has asked a collaborative committee that includes parents, teachers, administrators, and support staff to study and design options for calendars.
The group has reviewed information and data collected from a survey given to parents, students, NCSD staff and community members in October. In January, this group will report to the Board of Trustees its findings and a recommended design for future calendars, beginning in the 2014-15 school year. Trustees have the final decision on the design of the calendar.
To help finalize that report, additional input on preference for a early start vs. a later start is needed. A simple two question survey can be found at http://www.natronaschools.org or you can click on the image above. The survey will be open Dec. 20, 2013 – Jan. 5, 2014. It has also been emailed to those households that have provided email addresses in their Infinite Campus profile. It is open to parents/guardians, students, NCSD staff, and community members.
