Students Design Holiday Cards

Give a kid a box of crayons and they will give you the colors of their imagination. Each year, that’s exactly what we do when designing the District’s holiday cards. The annual holiday card contest encourages students from all grade levels to design a holiday card. The winning designs are featured on the official holiday cards for the Natrona County School District. This year, out of 356 cards, five designs were chosen as the winners  Two cards will feature designs from the secondary level and three from the elementary level.

The winning cards were created by:

Valerie Martinez – 1st grade, Summit Elementary

Shaylee Macmillan – 4th grade, Summit Elementary

Fiona Wallop – 5th grade, Paradise Valley Elementary

Alissa Slocum – 6th grade, Centennial Junior High

Skyler Fenenbock – 11th grade, Kelly Walsh/Transitions

These student designers will receive special recognition from the NCSD Board of Trustees and will receive a framed photo of their artwork, plus 25 holiday cards/envelopes to send to family and friends.

NCSD will send out the winning holiday cards to more than 11,000 recipients throughout Natrona County. All of the submissions are on display at NCSD’s Central Services Facility.

Great work by all of the children who put their talent and efforts into these priceless treasures!
