Discover how our kids are being empowered to create their future!
There have been some empty desks and chairs in our classroom lately as many students across the district have been out sick.
Here are a few things you and your student(s) can do to help keep yourselves and the community healthy:
Wash your hands, wash your hands, wash your hands; use an alcohol based hand gel in a pinch
Practice good cough and sneeze etiquette by using a tissue or by coughing/sneezing into your upper sleeve
Try not to touch your eyes, nose or mouth
Avoid contact with sick people as much as possible
Stay home if you are vomiting, have diarrhea and/or are running a temperature of 100 degrees or more
Dress for the weather
Consider the flu vaccine
Please remember that medications, both prescription and over-the-counter, given at school require a doctor’s order which must be signed by both the parent and the health care provider. All medications are kept in the office for the safety of all students. Please contact the school nurse for more information about the form(s) and the process.
