Untangling the Web: Cyber Safety Panel

IMAG1412Knowing how to protect your kids in your own community can be a challenge in itself. Now give them access to the world through the internet. Kids are going online to socialize. They are going online to shop. They are going online to do their homework. It’s a part of their lives.

Natrona County School District’s Respectful Resolutions is hosting a Cyber Safety Panel Discussion to help outline some of the issues and share ideas on how to keep the internet a safe zone.  This discussion is a chance for you to understand a user’s potential vulnerability while online, learn helpful hints and become more educated and comfortable when navigating the Web.

Presenters include:

Dr. Dean Braughton – NCSD Student Support Services

Mr. Drew Walker – NCSD IT Director

Ms. Tabitha Smith Herron – Kelly Walsh Librarian

Sgt. Jim Wetzel – Casper Police Department

Mr. Pedro Martinez – Boys and Girls Club of Central Wyoming

The Cyber Safety Panel Discussion will be held Thursday, Oct. 17, 2013 from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. at the Special Education Services Building, 500 S. Jefferson Street, Casper. This event is free and open to the public.

For questions or more information please call NCSD #1 at 307-253-5231.
