Natrona Schools – Our Kids, Our Community

Discover how our kids are being empowered to create their future!

Get Involved: Read Across America

readacrossamericaYou’re never too old, too wacky, too wild,
To pick up a book and read with a child.
You’re never too busy, too cool, or too hot,
To pick up a book and share what you’ve got.

In schools and communities,
Let’s gather around,
Let’s pick up a book,
Let’s pass it around.

There are kids all around you,
Kids who will need
Someone to hug,
Someone to read.

Come join us March 1st
Your own special way
And make this America’s
Read to Kids Day.

Grant Elementary is inviting you into their learning community on Friday, March 1, 2013, as a guest reader during the school’s Read Across America Celebration. If you can squeeze it into your schedule, all you need to do is show up at Grant Elementary, 1536 Oakcrest Ave., at 8:30 a.m. There will be a short assembly to introduce the guest readers before the readers will be dispatched to their respective rooms. You will be done reading by 10 a.m. It’s a short amount of time that will make a big difference to a child!
